Register of associations – information, enquiries [source link]
The association authorities keep a record of associations based in their local area in the local register of associations and send the relevant data to the Federal Ministry of the Interior for the Central Register of Associations (ZVR).
Every citizen can request information about an association that can be clearly identified and for which there is no restriction on disclosure (association register extract). So-called collective or linked requests are not permitted.
It is also possible to have the
association register extract created online free of charge.
Queries from the register of associations can also be carried out if the exact wording of the association’s name or the ZVR number of the association are not known. This is intended to ensure that queries are significantly simplified. Collective or linked queries are still not permitted.
The locally competent association authority can also produce copies (copies or printouts) of the statutes for anyone at a cost.
