Website accessible

When is a website accessible?

A website is accessible when it can be used without restriction by people with various impairments, such as visual impairments, hearing loss or motor impairments. This includes, for example:

– Use of clear and simple language

– Availability of text alternatives to images, audio and video

– Support for keyboard operation instead of just mouse operation

– Verifiability with automatic tools

To be considered barrier-free, a website must meet certain technical and content requirements defined by the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). A website can be checked for accessibility using certain test procedures, such as a BITV test according to BIK.

NADEUM is a private-law association registered by the Republic of Austria through the Vienna Regional Police Directorate (LPD Vienna, Central Association Register: ZVR number 252118075). We would like to point out that it is not possible for us to design the web pages in such a way that they can be used by all people with their different physical abilities without barriers. If you have the necessary knowledge and resources, it would be possible for you to support us in creating barrier-free access. The programming should be done free of charge.
