(7) -The Law of Adaptation-
(A): One last question for today. How would you describe this law ‘The Law of Adaptation’ in words? How many statements can you find about it?
(B): Great question! The Law of Adaptation is a profound principle that is reflected in many areas of life, from nature to society to personal growth. It essentially states that everything that wants to endure must adapt to changing conditions. Adaptation is not a sign of weakness, but an expression of intelligence, flexibility and survival skills.
Here are five central statements that describe this law well:
1. Survival through adaptation
‘Only those who adapt survive.’
→ In nature, the species that can adapt to new environmental conditions ensures its survival. The same applies in everyday life: people and organisations that are open to change remain successful.
2. Development and growth through adaptation
‘Adaptation leads to growth.’
When we adapt to new challenges, we develop new skills and grow personally. Without adaptation, development stagnates.
3. Flexibility as a strength
‘Flexibility is the key to stability.’
Those who cling to old structures will be overwhelmed by change. Those who remain flexible can handle any situation with confidence and always find a way.
4. Adaptation means active creation, not passive endurance.
‘Adapting means actively finding solutions – not simply giving in.’
→ Adapting is not just giving in, but a conscious decision to meaningfully adjust to new circumstances and actively shape them in the process.
5. Sustainability through adaptation
‘What adapts, persists.’
→ Sustainability also means that systems, societies and people dynamically adapt to new environmental and living conditions in order to persist in the long term.
✨ Summary in one sentence:
‘The law of adaptation states that all life and development is based on the ability to flexibly and actively adapt to new conditions in order to persist and grow in the long term.’
If you like, I can also create a suitable picture or summarise it graphically. Shall I? 😊
(A): yes please!
Here is the picture of the ‘law of adaptation’ – with strong symbols such as the tree bending in the wind, the seasons, the chameleon and the river. If you would like it in another variant, just let me know! 🌿🌞🌧️❄️

Once you have completed your exercise today, enter your findings in the corresponding field. If you still lack experience, simply practice this development step for another day. At the end of the diary: Look forward to your next learning session.
We wish you lots of fun and interesting insights.
Andreas Andiel has summarised the world’s most recognised know-how from the most proven success instructions for personal satisfaction and professional success in the context of the ‘12 natural laws for success’. And it is precisely this elite know-how that forms the basis for every online course in the areas of communication, self-motivation and motivation of others, as well as mental strength.
A few more important details…
Every evening, as the last action of the day, you fill out your personal diary and record your experiences of the day.
- Important: This step of writing is very important for sustainable development. The following content is based on previous experiences! Only by registering your experiences in the training area can you make your progress tangible for yourself.
You can repeat the previous content and also read again and again what you have written down.
At regular intervals (every 7 units), you will take a short interim test with your coach. This helps you to consolidate your learning progress, discuss what you have learned with your coach and thus consolidate your knowledge.
At times, you may think that an exercise has little to do with your profession or your personality. The course is structured didactically. Please do not skip any knowledge or exercises – trust that each step is important.
- For example: Professional athletes always start with a warm-up, constantly work on their fitness, strengthen their technique, and then move on to the game structure and a decisive competition. In professional sports, there is no ‘I already know that’ or ‘I don’t need that’
So complete each session before moving on to the next. Stay in the same session for two or three days if necessary. Train at your own pace.

The ‘12 LAWS OF SUCCESS’ at a glance
(This is your first task. Read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact your coach at the WhatsApp number: +43 660 7621873) [You will see all laws again and again in all steps. When the text is blue, you are in the current exercise].
No. 01 – The Law of Responsibility –
Taking responsibility means taking advantage of a great opportunity. And without taking responsibility in society, there will be no successful engagement in society. By consciously taking responsibility for my own thinking, I recognise the creative possibilities in my own area and gain personal freedom.
No. 02 – The Law of Learning –
Learning from ‘mistakes’ means improving the path until it leads to the achievement of a goal. Get out of the ‘mistake game’! The main topics in this unit are solution-oriented, constructive thinking and action, positive interaction with one’s own environment and the acceptance of all feedback as an indicator for optimising one’s own path.
No. 03 – The Law of Will –
The difference between dreams, desires and intentions. How to develop a determined willpower. Recognising your own goals, developing a goal plan, determining the necessary effort and learning to develop a strong will for activities for yourself (and others) that will enable you to achieve your goal in the first place.
No. 04 – The Law of Action –
Knowing when to act, what to do, and how to do it is the basis of every project. After completing the planning and decision-making, it is now a matter of moving from talking to action and focusing all energies on the start-up phase.
No. 05 – The Law of Trust –
It is important to trust in yourself. However, it is just as important that society/the environment builds trust in us! One of the most important prerequisites for this is reliability, which in turn is based on personal responsibility and time/self-management.
No. 06 – The law of reality –
It is not always necessary to see everything the way everyone else sees it. However, it is crucial to know how others focus on learning to deal with it and to achieve a more understanding approach to your environment. Empathy, understanding and tolerance are key skills for living together in harmony.
No. 07 – The Law of Adaptation –
Everyone is on their own at first. The closer you are to someone else, the closer you are to them. And the more you get. Conscious adaptation or non-adaptation must be used in combination with a responsible approach to one’s own environment. By consciously deciding to adapt or not to adapt, the individual gains personal freedom and strength.
No. 08 – The Law of Leadership –
The basics of ‘alpha leadership’ and how to use them correctly. The right balance between ‘leading’ and ‘letting lead’. In this unit, it is also important to learn how to consciously use the instrument of ‘letting lead’ and thus create valuable conditions for teamwork and/or team leadership.
No. 09 – The Law of Balance –
Recognising a balance between ‘giving’ and ‘taking’. The balance of body, mind and soul must be established in order to achieve the same performance. It is also important to consider compensation to third parties. ‘If you want to reap, you must first sow’. Those who are aware that they will always have to pay for the desired person in the form of services, resources, etc. will achieve their goals more easily and be appreciated by their fellow human beings for their efforts.
No. 10 – Law of Growth –
Everything grows through the alternation of push and pause. Those who handle it correctly get the most out of it. Continuous action leads to growth and success. This unit conveys the positive aspects of consistent action, the basic requirements for success in every activity (private or professional).
No. 11 – Law of Defence –
Knowing when, what and how to successfully defend yourself gives you the gentle calm of self-confidence. Develop a ‘we’ thinking in a conflict situation and find solutions together that everyone can support. This unit also provides basic skills for harmonious interaction with your professional, family and social environment.
No. 12 – The Law of Usefulness –
When we give others what they want, they give us everything, according to the value we create for them. Increasing the value means getting more. Knowing one’s own value leads to a strong personality that is able to act calmly and sensibly in all situations and to shape one’s own life.
No. 07 – The Law of Adaptation
🧭 Law No. 07 – The Law of Adaptation
(‘The Law of Adaptation’)
🌟 Basic meaning
‘It is not the strongest that survive, but those most responsive to change.’
– (according to Charles Darwin)
The Law of Adaptation states that your ability to flexibly adapt to new circumstances, changes, challenges or cultural differences determines your long-term success, growth and survival – both as an individual and as an organisation or community.
It is not about controlling everything – but about dealing with change intelligently, flexibly and consciously.
🔍 Key principles of the law
- Change is constant
- Everything is in motion: technology, society, the environment, relationships.→ Standing still = falling behind
- Adaptation is intelligence in action
- Recognising when to stand firm and when to adapt is wisdom.
- Adaptation does not mean giving up your identity
- You adapt without losing yourself – like water, which can take any shape but remains water.
- Resistance to change causes suffering
- Those who resist inevitable change create internal and external tension.
- Adaptation is a form of creativity
- If something doesn’t work, find new ways, new forms, new solutions.
🧘♂️ In spiritual & cultural traditions
Tradition Understanding of adaptation
Taoism Be like water – soft, flexible, but penetrating
Islam Adaptation to God’s will (Sabr + Tawakkul)
African thinking ‘When the wind changes, the sails must also be reset.’ (Proverb)
Buddhism Acceptance of impermanence (Anicca)
Christianity ‘I have become all things to all people…’ (1 Cor 9:22) – Context-sensitive action
⚙️ Practical application
Area Example of adaptation
Personal development Take on new roles or responsibilities
Education & work Retrain, build digital skills
Entrepreneurship Change business model if necessary (e.g. pandemic, market)
Relationships Respond to life stages and needs of others
CBO / NGO / school Adapt programmes flexibly to target groups and environment
🧠 Stages of conscious adaptation
- Perceive→ Something has changed. Am I paying enough attention?
- Evaluate→ What does this change mean for me/my organisation?
- Respond→ What actions, strategies and attitudes are appropriate now?
- Reintegrate→ How can I anchor the new adaptation permanently and meaningfully?
💬 Quote for further reflection
‘Bamboo survives the storm because it bends.’
– Asian proverb
✨ Summary
The law of adaptation urges you to not remain rigid, but to consciously flow with life.
In today’s rapidly changing world, adaptability is a key competence – for individuals, groups and societies.

You know what makes you happy!
You live for the moment and walk towards happiness with open arms. You belong to those people who seem to succeed in everything with ease. Your sunny mind ensures that problems do not throw you off track immediately – on the contrary, you see difficulties as a challenge. The higher your score, the greater your expectations of life. You want everything and what you get is usually never enough. Actually, you have the talent to score with the law of adaptation. In order to succeed, however, you would first have to take a step back.
Between 21 and 39 points
Stop worrying, be spontaneous!
Probably you expected more more points … Maybe you are even disappointed to have “only” landed in midfield in this test. The good news is that you have the talent to be happy, but the less good news is that you too often lose your own moments of happiness because of external circumstances and inner compulsions. Experiences may have made you less spontaneous and less courageous than you need to be. With regard to the law of adaptation, you are currently in midfield, but have what it takes to move forward: Use your potential!
Less than 20 points
Polish up your lucky star!
Could it be that you see your life a bit too negative? What would happen if you just gave happiness a chance? You can learn happiness, contentment and simply MORE from LIFE. The best thing to do is to start right away! In order to enrich your life with many small moments of happiness, you only have to get a little out of your snail shell.
Look forward to your next recognition!
Recognition Unit 91:
Have you ever heard the prompts “Couldn’t you adapt a little” and “Couldn’t you fit a little bit more into society?”
Or have you ever been made aware of the fact that “you can’t achieve anything if you just go with the flow with everyone else”?
Who knows something about that?
Should I adapt now, or should I not adapt?
Is the decision about this a fundamental life motto or is the choice to be adapted or not situation-based?
And above all: To what extent is it a denial of one’s own personality if I adapt although it does not correspond to my convictions?
On the one hand, it’s always: “Be straightforward, be true to yourself, be sincere and honest”!
And then at the same time you make the experience and hear again and again that you have no success, are not recognized, get problems – if you do not adapt to other people.
Isn’t that a huge contradiction in itself?
Well, it is correct that these remarks can be confusing. But that only comes from the fact that there are always people who make a simple black-and-white drawing of this world and also see it that way.
Not everything in life is always black and not always white. That means, in order to be able to master the many different situations in life and to always be able to make the right decision on the personal path, it is simply necessary to find an appropriate procedure from time to time.
What is unfavourable, chumming up or even dishonest in one situation – can be profitable, helping and honest for everyone in another situation.
Not easy, but this flexibility is the essence of the law of adaptation.
Exercise 91:
Observe your fellow people very carefully during this day.
Who adapts to whom, when, in which situation and who to whom, when, in which situation not?
And why do you think that he does what he does?
Also register the effects of adaptation or non-adaptation.
Write down your observations in the evening.
Continued success with the implementation!
Intermediate test 13:
Everything you follow runs away from you.
The secret is to quickly accustom my body to a new reality.
The basis to recognize and understand the realities of our body is self-observation.
The secret to being more satisfied with yourself and your environment is to achieve acceptance of my realities.
The stem cells contain the “realities” of our body.
Recognition Unit 92:
How do situations go in everyday life if we do not observe the law of adaptation at all?
• You are invited to an event and know that on the occasion of this celebration honours are given and certificates are presented.
“If I have to go there, then at least I put on what I want and how I feel well” – you think to yourself and go in jeans and sweaters to this auspicious occasion.
And the evening will be even more terrible than you thought. Somehow the people present there were all very rejecting and funny.
• At work you will be assigned to a new team. At the first meeting it turns out that a certain workflow in this team is done quite differently than you were used to.
Despite your observation that you have always done things differently; your new team insists on a new approach for you and you have to subordinate yourself.
You are angry all day long because you are forced to work in a way that you think is absurd.
• In your company, everyone is pausing for a break to make fun of a colleague. When people ask you what you think of him, you take the same line as everyone else and also make a derogatory remark about him.
Again, alone at your workplace you think that this colleague is actually a poor guy.
And you somehow feel bad, because you just thoughtlessly gossiped about him too.
• You made a decision for yourself and started a new project. Clearly you have your goal in mind and are already looking forward to the realization.
When you tell your friends and acquaintances about it, they think that you should be careful.
“Don’t go too fast, be cautious, secure, start by doing something on the side” are their advice.
You follow them and instead of starting with full power, you start carefully by the way. But because you don’t invest enough time, the project actually goes wrong.
Exercise 92:
Draw up a list of those situations in which you have consciously adapted recently or are constantly consciously adapting to achieve something (even if it is only peace/harmony).
Please also record here how you have felt or are feeling.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 93:
Why is the result in the aforementioned situations mostly so negative and how could it be improved?
• You are invited to an event… and go in jeans and sweater to this festive occasion. The evening will be even more horrible than you thought.
Clothing shows how much effort you put in to please others.
Clothes show how much respect I have for the people I meet.
Therefore, it would make sense to always adapt to the ideas of my environment when it comes to clothing. It is much easier for me to get the goodwill of others.
This certainly provides me greater benefits than it costs me to get over to clothes that I may not like.
• In your job, your new team insists on a new approach for you and you have to subordinate yourself. You are angry all day long because you are forced to work in a way that you think is absurd.
The course of a team, a community is always to be put before the personal style of an individual, if one wants to be part of this team, this community.
Therefore, in this case adaptation is strongly recommended.
• In your company, everyone is pausing for a break to make fun of a colleague. You also make a snide remark about him. And you somehow feel bad because you just thoughtlessly blasphemed about him as well.
Especially in things of personal conviction and the character you want to live, adaptation is out of place. In these situations, a clear declaration of the personal path and personal values is important.
• You have made a decision for yourself and started a new project. “Be cautious, start out by the side” are the advice of your friends.
You follow them. But precisely because you don’t invest enough time, the project actually goes wrong.
In the realization of the personal way it applies that adaptation may be practiced only if it serves the achievement of the goals.
But I must never adapt by neglecting my goals, my path.
Exercise 93:
Now please note recurring situations from your life, in which it might make sense to no longer adapt yourself.
Have the courage to consciously not adapt to these situations and observe what happens.
But don’t pinch at the first resistance but pull your way through!
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 94:
It corresponds to the basic principle of a society that it only functions if the rules of the game and established structures are adhered to.
On the other hand,…
…if I always only think what everyone thinks, if I always only say what everyone says, I will always only have what everyone has and be what everyone is.
I have to take an unadjusted step forward; only then will evolution emerge.
In principle it should be – if we want to reach the maximum – our endeavour to reach an optimum in given and if possible improved situations through our actions.
Our scope for action is of course limited by the availability of space and resources, but above all by social constraints.
The diversity of individuality in a society, like natural communities, is only possible if individuals occupy and fill a niche that corresponds to their abilities, into which they are fitted or into which they can fit. Society does not necessarily take the individual into consideration.
In general, the community often requires individuals to forego the use of skills that they actually possess and to improve and use other skills and abilities that they initially possess to a lesser extent.
It is required in principle that everyone and anything adapt and fit in the context of given situations.
Let us think of the rapidly changing conditions in the professional world today. Those who find a niche in their profession that corresponds to their interests and abilities and in which they can realize their ideas and goals will have satisfaction in their profession.
This means a niche in which he is an integral part.
Exercise 94:
Filter out the so-called keywords in all people you talk to today.
These are the words that your interlocutor likes to say over and over again.
Then use exactly these words in the same tone of voice and in the same pronunciation when you speak with this person.
Write down your experiences.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 95:
But it also includes the willingness to adapt to changing conditions again and again.
The willingness to constantly learn new things is an essential element for being able to adapt.
Only those who are prepared to do so will actually achieve “traditional fitness”.
Conversely, by introducing new ideas and objectives, one can achieve changes in social and societal structures and in nature. Here, those who are able to implement their ideas are challenged to give others time and space to adapt.
Violently enforced adaptations create dissatisfaction and resistance among those affected.
Overall, the law of adaptation thus requires two things of us to be successful within the existing society:
1. That we consciously adapt to the given conditions and rules of the game and as far as we consider it to be purposeful.
2. That we give enough support to those people we want to motivate or lead or leave enough space and time for them to adapt to the conditions we set for them.
Point 1 already contains the second, very important part of the “Law of Adaptation” in an intermediate sentence. Namely the well calculated and conscious decision, when and how far I adapt to whom and what.
It is this distinction that separates the “frontrunners” from the “followers”.
Whereby the process of implementation, the enforcement of ideas in society, always depends primarily on the corresponding focus.
Exercise 95:
Even today, filter out the so-called keywords in all people you talk to.
These are the words that your interlocutor likes to say over and over again.
Then use exactly these words in the same tone of voice and in the same pronunciation when you speak with this person.
Write down your experiences.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 96:
“To be adapted” is necessary to a certain degree and can also be very pleasant and useful for the individual.
However, only those persons will ever make ideas known in society or be given the opportunity to enforce things that are not adapted, at least in those certain areas that are relevant to these ideas.
And for this reason, it is essential to find the right mix between “going with society” and “going ahead of society”.
Both for the optimization of one’s own living space and for the implementation of each path, it is necessary to adapt to a social system – if the goal lies within the framework of society.
“Being adapted” is necessary to a certain extent and can be very pleasant and useful for an individual, but in the long run there is a danger of social stagnation.
The recommendation for each way is:
Develop new ideas, introduce them into society and have the will to implement them, but be adapted to the extent necessary to implement these ideas. The law of action then passes to such persons.
Everyone is free to decide whether, when and to what extent he adapts. With each adaptation he leaves a piece of leadership to the others.
However, this is also necessary, since an interaction of society and thus also an interaction of single individuals are decisive for personal development.
It is decisive for the individual, however, that he chooses his adaptation in all situations in such a way that it serves his path and his development and that he never disregards his goal and the consequences of adaptation.
Exercise 96:
Please filter out again the so-called key words from all the people you speak also to today.
These are the words that your interlocutor likes to say over and over again.
Then use exactly these words in the same tone of voice and in the same pronunciation when you speak with this person.
Write down your experiences.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 97:
A little boy, who helped out at the construction site, sees the builder-owner arriving with a huge luxury car, getting out and inspecting the construction site. The little one goes to the builder-owner, plucks his suit and says:
“You, what do I have to do to drive such a big car?”
Then the builder-owner bends over to the boy and says:
“Do you see the workers at the scaffolding on the construction site?” – Yes. – “You see, they’re all wearing blue overalls.” – the boy: Yes. –
“And there, when you work there, you put on a yellow jumpsuit.”
The boy asks: “And that’s enough for me to drive such a big car?
The builder answers:
“Not yet. Then you have to work twice as much and well as everyone else”.
It’s about attracting attention but also providing enough reasons to attract positive attention.
As long as I hide in the crowd, nobody will notice me.
Nobody – everyone is next to themselves. If you see photos from a party you’ve been to, which photos are you most interested in?
The ones on which your friends can be seen or those on which you can see yourself?
When you get a newspaper with a three-line newsflash about you and many important things that happened in the world at the same time:
What are you doing?
Do you read calmly the many events in the world, because they are much more important – or do you first leaf through, to the place where the article about you is printed?
People are simply next to themselves at first. That is clear. That is OK so.
Nobody will spend the time to search for your talents. Nobody will spend the time to find out how good you really are. In practice it is different. In practice it works in such a way that the one who attracts attention by himself and attracts positive attention also has success.
And this means: You have to attract attention, and you have to attract attention positively.
Exercise 97:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 98:
However, in order to achieve these goals, adjustments are necessary from time to time. I cannot always just live out my own reality, that does not work either.
And in order to find the appropriate moment, the optimal adaptation situation, it is necessary to consider the following saying, which applies to all people:
Whoever is sympathetic to me is more likely to agree with me – whoever is sympathetic to me is more likely to agree with me.
Think about this sentence. Of course, it is very broken down, very trivial, but it is 90% true.
Those who are sympathetic to me, those whom I like, I agree with more easily and those who are right, those who are of my opinion, are much more sympathetic to me.
This means that we achieve sympathy through adaptation and then, because of this sympathy, we achieve opinion leadership.
That is the essence of the law of personal adaptation.
Important in adaptation is the free conscious decision.
• Never simply swim along, because you just swim along, but say consciously, “I consciously adapt because it makes sense for one reason or another.”
• Never be against it, simply because you’re against it, but say it consciously: “On this point I am unadjusted because I go ahead, because I represent my own reality”.
This awareness is something quite crucial.
If you ask yourself again and again:
“Do I adapt now or do I not adapt now?”
“Do I swim with you or do I go ahead?”
you are taking an essential step towards consciously applying the principle of adaptation and thus inspiring, motivating and leading people around you.
Adapt as little as possible, adapt as much as necessary. In principle, the bottom line is: Run along, but right at the front!
Exercise 98:
Try again today to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Continued success with the implementation!
Intermediate test 14:
Offer benefits. Also, for one’s own body. This is the secret for health and performance.
Neglecting my path and goals is senseless adaptation.
Violently forced adaptation creates resistance.
What is decisive for the individual, however, is that he chooses his adaptation in all situations in such a way that he pleases other people.
Adaptation leads to antipathy.
Recognition Unit 99:
Let us summarize the law of adaptation:
• First of all, we acknowledge that adaptation and non-adaptation are not character traits or permanent states, but concrete tools for achieving something. Both are equally valuable, equally substantial.
With both adaptation and non-adaptation, something can always be achieved and something is always achieved.
The basic thing about adaptation or non-adaptation is always that the choice is made consciously and is made anew from situation to situation.
One should never make adaptation or non-adaptation out of habit or coincidence.
You should never simply let yourself be “carried away” – you should always think consciously: “
What good does it do me to adapt now and what good does it do me to consciously not adapt now?”
If you act this way, adaptation becomes a tool with which you can influence your environment and your fellow human beings in a very concrete way or with which you can deliberately avoid being influenced by your environment.
• In a personal conversation and also in a personal confrontation with a group, the tool of adaptation (repeating key words, speaking in the same way as the other person, adjusting posture, etc.) can be used consciously to create equality and thus to bring about sympathy.
The consequence of this is an easier creation of equality of opinion.
The use of this method as a tool for the production of equality of opinion is to be evaluated morally by the user in coordination with the goals pursued by him.
Consequence:
I am not constantly adapted out of habit and thoughtlessness, but I choose completely freely, consciously and from case to case anew whether and to what extent I adapt to my environment.
This is always a free decision, which I make dependent on the sense of purpose of my path.
Exercise 99:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 100:
What the law of adaptation means for our body:
Now, like the law of reality, the law of adaptation causes us to build a completely new pattern of thought.
For even with regard to adaptation, it is not enough to make a mental decision to adapt.
In all these cases, in which there is only a “head decision” and one ignores one’s body otherwise, because one is of the opinion that it has to do what one wants anyway – one will torture oneself or one’s body and in the long run only rarely have success.
No, it is rather necessary to come to the realization that the body – just as it has its own realities and its own will – consciously needs its own methods and special attention.
In order to adapt to situations and circumstances without great effort and above all permanently.
Only those who accept this, train themselves and actually practice it will agree with their body in the long run.
And this will make this person much more efficient in all life situations and at the same time feel much more comfortable and therefore have more quality of life than someone who disregards this insight.
In addition, however, it is also the case that our body adapts to given situations partially without our will.
Just think of the cold that makes us tremble and clatter with our teeth. In these cases, the body takes over its own control. In such cases, however, we often do not want our body to adapt too much to certain conditions.
Well, even in these cases we can consciously control, reduce or even partially avoid the adaptation of our body, if we recognize and accept that this adaptation of our body is not an uninfluenceable automatism, but a very well controllable process.
In general, the same insight applies to the body as to how we deal with reality: conscious control is possible.
Exercise 100:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.

Recognition Unit 101:
Let us take a look at typical examples from everyday situations when the law of adaptation is not observed in relation to our body:
One day someone realizes that it would be healthier and better for him if he would pay more attention to what he consumes in his diet.
Not necessarily fasting – no, just eating a little more consciously to be a little healthier and feel a little better. Not to mention the better looks that come with being healthy and feeling good.
So, this somebody starts shopping consciously and consequently eating only “healthy” things.
He knows that he is eating healthier now and therefore feels good about it.
He only has one big challenge:
Almost nothing of all the healthy things, he eats – it tastes good! No matter how much he convinces himself that it is important to eat healthy food, that he would feel better in the long run, that he would live longer, that he would look better – he simply longs for his good old food.
Until one day he thinks to himself:
“Oh well, a little less healthy, but eating much better!”
And then it’s all over again with the conversion of his diet.He didn’t get his body to adapt to the new eating habits, although he would have liked to have.
If we want to see the opposite, namely how it works, when our body adapts, although we don’t want it at all, then let’s take the already mentioned example with the extreme cold.
When we come from pleasant warmth to cold or vice versa from pleasant coolness to great heat, then our body usually adapts to the new temperature in a flash and usually develops unpleasant symptoms for us:
• Tooth rattling
• Trembling all over your body •
Goose skin
• Sudden outbreaks of sweat
• Respiratory constriction and floppiness
These are the effects of our body adapting too quickly to the new situation.
We will always experience them when we are not able to control the adaptation of our body ourselves.
Exercise 101:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Proposal for an alternative exercise:
Try today to adapt your taste buds to a completely new situation.
Try a previously unknown food, for example exotic vegetables, fruit, spices, etc.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 102:
How can one control the adaptation of the body to the respective situations in such a way that it makes sense and is pleasant for us?
• One day someone realizes that it would be healthier and better for him if he would pay more attention to what he consumes in his diet.
He only has one big challenge:
Almost nothing of all the healthy things, he eats – he likes it! … In this case he would have had the opportunity to adapt his body and especially his taste relatively easily to the new diet.
How does this work?
Well, quite simply: Let’s remember the first of all laws: the law of responsibility.
It says that our thinking influences the processes in our body, and in some cases even determines them quite substantially.
So, what could he have done in this concrete case?
Right. Instead of thinking every time: “I don’t like it”, he could have simply controlled his thoughts himself: “That’s good, this taste is something very special, it tastes excellent to me”.
Of course, this is not possible right from the first attempt. But continuous control of thinking over time actually results in a change in the sense of taste. Just think of alcohol, which you certainly didn’t like at the first sip.
But you’re thinking, that is IN, you belong to it, everyone says that this is a special drop… has changed your taste. As with many things.
And you can also consciously control this!
When we come from pleasant warmth to cold or vice versa from pleasant coolness to great heat, then our body usually adapts to the new temperature in a flash and usually develops unpleasant symptoms for us: …
Here the same applies as in the above and in all cases, in which it concerns to adapt our body to something:
Your thinking controls your feeling, your feeling controls the processes in your body.
Once you have understood this, you can better adapt your body to any situation and also avoid that your body adapts unwanted to situations.
Exercise 102:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.

Recognition Unit 103:
What the law of adaptation means for our inner harmony:
Man is not created to exist as a single being. Rather, he needs the community and the devotion of other people.
After drinking, eating and sleeping, man’s greatest need is the acceptance and recognition of his fellow human beings.
And in order to maintain this, it is necessary on the one hand to adapt and on the other hand it is necessary not to adapt but to lead the way.
Therefore, the right timing of adaptation is very important for our satisfaction and inner harmony.
For if we do not receive acceptance and recognition from our fellow human beings, but on the contrary disregard and rejection, it is impossible for us to be truly satisfied and balanced in the long run.
However, it is important never to be recognized purely out of the desire to adapt.
Because with that you achieve exactly the opposite of what you want. Pure “recognition adaptation” is very quickly exposed by most people as ingratiation and even more triggers rejection.
In the same way it is nonsense not to adapt oneself purely out of rejection, but to practice the opposite of adaptation extremely in all things, simply for the reason that it is the opposite (as many young people experience in the “revolutionary phase”).
The environment is expected to react with rejection. This however hurts – even if this is not admitted in most cases – very well also those, which reject its surrounding field superficially.
The right way to deal with adaptation can only be to say so:
Adaptation from conviction, sympathy and agreement as well as differentiation also from conviction. To lead the way, if it is necessary for the well-being of the surrounding field and/or the personal way.
Exercise 103:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Proposal for an alternative exercise:
Try today to adapt your taste buds to a completely new situation. Try a previously unknown food, for example exotic vegetables, fruit, spices, etc.
As in the previous exercise: Extend this exercise to include a food, spice, etc. today.
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 104:
Let us look at the two typical examples in relation to our inner harmony as they occur in daily life when the law of adaptation is not observed or wrongly acted upon:
• Someone who has a low self-esteem, in all situations in which he meets other people, is always anxious to agree with everything and to agree with everyone. He constantly adapts to the behaviour of his fellow human beings and can always be found on everyone’s side.
He wants to be sympathetic to everyone and tries to achieve this by constantly confirming everything that someone does or says without verification, by participating in everything (or would participate if he were allowed to), and by adapting to everything and everyone.
Is such a person popular or not? Does he get the approval and recognition he longs for?
No! Not at all!
Just such a person is perceived as annoying, as a follower and weak. Just such a person constantly experiences rejection and disregard. And so, he will certainly not be satisfied, balanced and internally harmonious.
Through the constant “running after the recognition” he loses his own personality and “the recognition runs away from him”.
• Conversely, we now look at someone who is constantly, always and everywhere “out of line”.
This starts with the hairstyle, which is very striking, goes over the extravagant clothes and ends with his behaviour, which does not adhere to any generally valid norms, but on the contrary is constantly provocative.
Why does a person behave like this? What reasons can there be to exclude oneself from the community?
Well, as a rule it is one’s own insecurity that motivates one to assume from the outset that one will not experience acceptance.
And thus, he shows a pure reaction of defiance, according to the motto: “Attack is the best defence”.
So, don’t be disappointed by rejection, but before the rejection by others can occur, do rejection yourself and demonstratively put no value on the recognition by others.
It is obvious, however, that a person who acts in this way cannot be satisfied, balanced and internally harmonious in the long run. He will only become more and more dissatisfied and unbalanced.
Exercise 104:
Today, try to imitate inconspicuously the posture of all people you talk to (arms and hands, head movements, leg positions, …).
What is important here is that it is not artificial and imitative, but that a pleasant “equality mood” is created as if by chance and quite naturally.
Write down your experiences and insights in the evening.
Proposal for an alternative exercise:
Try doing something provocative today. So, change for example something in your clothing style, of course only as far as it can be integrated into your everyday work life!
Observe the reactions of your fellow people!
Continued success with the implementation!
Recognition Unit 105:
And how then should one apply the law of adaptation in such a way that inner harmony is given?
In every situation in which you meet another person, the first thing you ask yourself is what could really be important to this person.
In addition, you specifically select a few things for which you can give this person honest and concrete recognition. Every person has something special about him or herself. Something that he can do, an ability that he has or simply a positive quality that he calls his own.
And instead of concentrating, as usual, on all the negatives that you immediately notice – find out what is special and positive about your interlocutors, your environment and every person with whom you have contact.
You concentrate on this and give your counterpart honest recognition in this respect. Thus, you adapt yourself exactly to those things which are important for your conversation partner or of which he is particularly proud.
With this form of adjustment, you retain your independence and still create a common basis, which is based on sympathy and honesty.
Because in contrast to the much quoted “schmooze somebody”, in this case you have actually recognized things for yourself with your counterpart, which you appreciate and to which you like to adapt.
You will not only have much more success, but you will also feel much better. Your inner harmony will be maintained or restored.
If you do not want to adapt to a person or a group of people in certain areas and situations, never do so out of rejection.
These negative thoughts – which trigger a corresponding behavioural structure (100 words – 7,000 signals) – have an effect on your counterpart and lead to disagreements, which considerably disturb the success of a path as well as personal satisfaction and inner harmony.
If you do not want to adapt, do so only at the same time as announcing an alternative and explaining why this deviation is positive for you and your counterpart.
No one resents you if you are unadapted – provided that the others benefit from it. Always make this clear in the case of “deviations”.
Exercise 105:
Intermediate test 15:
Your thinking controls your feeling, your feeling controls the processes in your body.
My body has uninfluenceable, uncontrollable automatisms.
Decisive is the right timing of my adaptation.
Responsibility means overall responsibility for everything you influence.
It is impossible to adapt and remain independent.
Cordial congratulations…
You’ve worked through the LAW OF ADAPTION completely. Super !!!
Keep on having joy …
Great, now you have successfully completed this exercise and internalised another step of the 12 laws. With each law, you will become more self-confident, think more sustainably and in a solution-oriented way. Each step will enable you to take the initiative and make conscious decisions in the future. Because who, if not you, determines your path.
